Why NICDC matters

NICDC is the source of some of the highest-tier verified figures on Dholera. Its Delivery Monitoring Unit report dated 30 Jun 2026 records that government-approved Activation Area (the first phase of Dholera to get roads, water, power and drainage) infrastructure packages totalled about Rs 2,784.83 crore across five packages, with matching equity released, and that about 48.31 sq km had been transferred to DICDL. NICDC coordinates central schemes such as PM Gati Shakti as they apply to Dholera and links the city to the wider corridor programme. Because it is a central agency publishing structured reports, NICDC documents are among the most reliable references for Dholera spending and land transfer, and are treated as green-tier primary sources in the fact base.
