The Dholera link: not confirmed in our sources
Our sources confirm only two fab supplier relationships for Dholera, PSMC and ASML, and they do not name IAQ as a confirmed Dholera cleanroom contractor. The fact pack does report that, as of mid-2026, the Tata fab's major structural and civil work is reported complete with cleanroom fit-out and machinery move-in underway, which tells us cleanroom construction is actively happening. It does not, however, name the contractor performing that work in our sources. So while the fab clearly needs and is undergoing cleanroom construction, we cannot attribute it to IAQ or any named firm on the strength of our current sources. We do not state an IAQ contract, value or date, because none appears in our pack. What a fab cleanroom actually is
A cleanroom is the tightly controlled space where the sensitive steps of chipmaking take place, engineered to keep airborne particles, temperature, humidity and vibration within extremely tight limits. Air is continuously filtered through banks of high-efficiency filters and pushed in a controlled downward flow so that particles are swept away from the wafers, and staff wear full coverings to avoid shedding contamination. Fabs are built to the strictest cleanliness classes, because a particle far smaller than a human hair can destroy a chip. Beyond air, a cleanroom needs vibration isolation for sensitive tools, precise climate control, and integration with the gas, chemical, water and power systems that feed the equipment. Building one is a major construction and engineering project in its own right, often as demanding as installing the process tools, which is why specialist cleanroom contractors are a distinct and important part of the fab supply chain.
